How to rewire home phone wiring system so my home security system can work with Vonage cable phone?
Q. I recently switched from traditional landline phone to Vonage cable internet phone. However, my home security system can not communicate with the monitoring station as a result of disconnecting the phone line. How could I rewire my home phone wires to make my home security system work with the internet phone?

A. Hi, I looked on the Alltel's website and there isn't that many phones that have big keypad. And the touchscreen phones most are too high tech for older person. from all their phones I think Motorola Krave ZN4 is the better choice. because it's not too high tech, and it has a good size touchscreen keypad, with this type of keypad is a lot easier to see the numbers, because they are big and bright. and they have a clear screen cover build-in. hopefully that help's a bit. Not bothered about what else the phone does as long as its not huge, the camera is good, has a flash, the video quality is good as well. Found that phones often compromise on the video quailty.

Q. Supposedly, going up to politicians in person and calling them on the phone are the most effective ways to get them to advocate for your causes. But how many phone calls do they get? A. As a former hill intern, I would say 200 to 300 calls easily. I cannot speak for local offices but, outside of meetings which included the entire staff (rare) and off hours...someone was always answering the phone. Messages were always written down and given to the appropriate legislative aid. However, if you are actually expecting to talk to your congressman, it isn't going to happen. Every call is fielded through interns, reception, and legislative aids. How do I transfer the phone book from my old cell phone to the new one?
Q. I had a tracfone that fell and broke. I can not turn it back on and retreive my phone numbers to move them to the new phone. I tried moving the sim card over to the new phone, but the new one doesn't register the old sim card. Is there any way to retreive the numbers from the old phone that doesn't power up by putting the old sim card in the new phone and unlocking somehow? Thanks!

How does phone insurance work with Cingular?
Q. Do you have to bring in your phone to a Cingular store so they make sure you haven't already broken it before trying to get a new one? I'm guessing you do but I wanna make sure. Also, if I "break" my phone, do I need to bring in my phone to the Cingular store if I report it broken to get a new one? It's $50 to get a new one right? What is a good unlocked GSM phone to be used solely overseas?
Q. I currently have Alltel and Nextel services. However, unfortunately, Alltel operates on CDMA network and Nextel operates on IDEN network which is almost unheard of overseas. I am planning to work, study, and travel to Europe and South America in the course of the summer. I need an unlocked GSM phone with a prepaid SIM card, but that's all I know. I understand Alltel currently have no world phone, and Nextel has the i930 as it only marketed world phone but I cannot afford to cough up another $400.00 for the phone because I spent enough as is with travel and all. What is the best cell phone and service?
Q. My phone is dying and my sprint contract is up in November. The plan needs to include two phones that can talk freely amongst each other. I dont need a fancy phone, something affordable and sturdy...I admit I like having the extras but, well, right before christmas is a bad time to need to spend money. A. I had Cingular for my first plan. And I had nothing but problems with them. I couldn`t change plans until my contract was through. I`m currently using US Cellular- And I`m getting more dropped calls. My friends has T-Mobile they like it. You add 5 people to your fav. 5 and talk for free. Good Luck!

Q. My phone is dying and my sprint contract is up in November. The plan needs to include two phones that can talk freely amongst each other. I dont need a fancy phone, something affordable and sturdy...I admit I like having the extras but, well, right before christmas is a bad time to need to spend money. Pretty much all services i've heard of seem to be around, Verizon and AT&T bieng the big ones. Also, is there any way to get out of my contract a month of two early without paying too much, should my phone die before November?

What kind of phone is required to be allowed use with the mobile phone company Revol?
Q. What is required to get a phone bought on a site like ebay thats already unlocked activated onto Revol? What carriers phones will not work with revol? What will? Which technoligy does revol not support? Technology as in GMS or others.

A. Revol operate cellular network based on CDMA technology.You should buy phone that is CDMA,dont buy any GSM phone,they wont work with Revol. See their tech specification first. === additional edit=== i almost forget,since Revol is cdma and may be NOT using SIMCARD,you cannot do to buy any unlocked phone. Only if the carrier use simcard has this chance.Simply buy an unlocked phone and insert the simcard and you ready to go. Im sorry for inaccuracy.

Q. All i want to do on a phone is text and call to anyone. But i want a camera on the phone. I looked on Metro and At&t but metro is too much. Im thinking about at&t. I only have $170 and i want a good deal to pay.

Well actually Metro, seems to be too much for you because you have to pay for the whole price on the phone, but it has everything you are looking for, you can send and receive pics and texts everywhere in the US, with the 45 dllr plan which you will pay a month from the day you buy the phone, I mean that the phone itself comes with the activation, line and FIRST month of service. So that is the only time where you will pay Metro more than 100dls. You should check out their phones today, they just went down on price they have the ZTE's and Samsungs for less than 150dlls!!! How does a pre-paid phone card work with a cell phone plan?
Q. I have a cell phone plan but I am out of minutes on that plan so i bought a pre paid phone card.. if I call the number on the back of the phone card from my CELL will i get charged additional minutes over?

A. The prepaid card will give you an local access number to call which separates it from your pl;an. But depending on if your own plan allows free local calling or not, you still may be charged for the amount of time used. Check your plan. Usually weekends are free or off peak hours like after 8:00 pm and before 7:00 am.
