Does first semester of senior year count in college admissions?
Q. I had pretty good grades 9th and 10th grade but 11th grade, while I learned a lot of good life lessons, my grades had nothing to show for it. I had taken the hardest classes at my school for all three years, but I failed one semester of my honors physics class last year. I am taking the same rigorous classes senior year and am planning to improve my grades a lot. Would my first semester of senior year grades count? Do they look at that for admission at all, or is it only used to see if you are completely slacking after they grant you admission?
Asked by m123 - Sun Aug 17 18:24:28 2008 - - 9 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Yes, your school sends them tentative grades if you apply during first semester, then they send them your final grade for semester, and then, lastly, they will send them your final second semester grades as well.

What senior horse joint supplement do you recommend?
Q. I have been looking in to buying and using some joint supplements for my 2 senior horses in their 20s. In the SmartPackEquine magazine, they have SeniorFlex especiall for senior horses, but I am not sure if it is the right thing. I feed my horses Nutrena Senior feed, Lifestyles brand not the John Lyons brand. I heard that if there are certain minerals or vitamins in their feed, you shouldn't get a supplement that has one or all of those same vitamins as it can overload their system, is this true? Lately I have been hearing little cracks when the walk and they don't want to lift up their feet anymore because I think it is painful or something, but sometimes they do. Could someone tell me what I should do or use?

A. I strongly recommend Adequan IM - they've got arthritis, no doubt about that. X-rays would prove it. As of right now, there is no scientifically proven feed-through supplement that combats arthritis. When you buy joint supplements, you are buying on unquantified, empty claims. I hate spending my money on a hope and a prayer. Adequan IM, however, contains both hyaluronic acid (joint fluid) and an anti-inflammatory to help stop the immune reaction which exacerbates arthritis. It's also less invasive than direct joint injection (Legend), leaves no scar tissue in the joints, and does not expose the joints to infection the way Legend does. Adequan IM costs about $45 per horse per month, if you give it monthly, and if you yourself can… [cont.]

Exactly what are the dimensions for senior pictures?
Q. I want to print my own senior pictures and want to know what is the standard size for senior pics in inches. Thanks!
Asked by Kate - Wed Oct 3 22:55:59 2007 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. They should be measured in 2 dimensions. Unless they are holographs, then you may use three. Framing and matting can adjust to practically any size. Wallets for the grandparents? 8X10s' or larger. It's a matter of taste.

What would make a junior or senior want to date a freshman?
Q. There are two guys I like right now, one of them is a junior and I'm pretty sure the other one is a senior. I'm a freshman. There's another girl in my grade who's dating a senior, so I'm kind of watching her (not stalking, just observing) to see what qualities she has that makes the upperclassmen like her. All I've noticed so far is that she's got all the confidence in the world. Any other advice on how to win over an upperclassman?
Asked by Savannah Banana - Sat Jan 31 21:25:48 2009 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments

A. confidence will win anyone. just be mature and just be yourself. but being mature doesn't always mean you'll get a senior or junior. they might not be mature themselves. if they don't like you, then they don't like you. there are other guys i'm sure of it. you can still they are cute and stuff but just move on if being yourself isn't good enough. good luck

How was your senior year in High School Any tips for me?
Q. Hey, i'll be a senior this year in high school and i'm really worried. It's my last year as a Minor and after this I have only a vague idea of what my life is going to be like. Does anyone have tips for me to deal with this year. I'm applying to college and want to major in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
Asked by DrBurst - Thu Aug 28 16:03:16 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. I loved my Senior Year. It was fun to be at the top of the school, to know all the teachers so well, and have a wide variety of friends. As for applying to college, some things they look for are that you're well-rounded. They'll want to see a good math background if you want to go into engineering, but they'll also want to see that you were involved with (1) something creative-like music, drama, sports, art, woodshop, etc., and (2) something showing leadership-like president of a club, or student body, or on a dance committee, and (3) something involved with service-Big Brothers Big Sisters, or helping coach a kid's sports team, or cleaning up a park, or donating toys for a Sub for Santa program. Those 3 things are the extra "oomph"… [cont.]

Should I start feeding my cat food formulated for senior cats?
Q. Hello, I have a 7 year old, neutered male cat. Should I start feeding him senior formulated cat food? I also have a 4 year old female. She would be too young to eat senior food. I free feed them by putting their daily amount of food in their bowls and leaving it out all day. So, would it make a difference if I feed him senior food? He will probably snack on her food, and she on his. Thank you.
Asked by Future Pet Vet - Sat Sep 19 17:13:28 2009 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments

A. I really wouldn't worry at this stage. If something arises during the annual vet trips, then it can be addressed. My cats range from over 141/2 years to slightly over 2 years in age. They all get the same food, and they are all doing fine. When I was at home we had a cat that lived to be over 23 years, and he didn't have any different diet than when he was young.

How do I get wallet size photos for senior pictures without having to cut them out?
Q. My boyfriend's cousin took my senior pictures and she is not a professional (though she does know about photography), so I was planning on having her put my photos on a disc and give them to me so I can get some developed myself. However, I want to have 2x3 wallet size photos, but I often see online sites offering 6 per page which means that I would have to cut them out. Typically, senior wallet size photos are pre-cut and have nice even edges when done by a professional studio. Is there a website or a photo service I can bring the disc to and they will print wallet photos out individually? Price does not matter. Thanks!
Asked by kaw0410 - Fri Aug 17 15:47:52 2007 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments

A. If your talking about die cutting, where the edges are rounded, there isn't any photo labs that will do that. A die cutting machine runs close to $1000. Your friend can always get an account with a photolab, I use Garden State Color. The sheets are $2.10 for a sheet of 8 wallets and die cutting is free. The shipping regardless of the size of the order is only $6. A really good deal. I did my cousins senior pics at cost and she saved hundreds of dollars for what I got her!

How do you put valedictorian or AP test scores taken senior year on a college application?
Q. Considering you take a senior AP/IB test your senior, and most colleges require you to apply in your junior year? Also, you don't really know if you're valedictorian until your senior year, so how do the colleges know?
Asked by Cole H - Tue Dec 8 19:59:35 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. They don't know. Colleges will get your AP scores for APs taken in the senior year after the results come out in July and if your school ranks (many don't), they will only know if you are valedictorian when they receive a final transcript after you've enrolled. If a college profile says they have so many valedictorians, they are basing this information on the current freshmen class from figures taken from final transcripts.

Asked by nph - Sun Apr 26 20:30:59 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Investment options: 1. Senior Citizen Scheme 2. 5 year FD in P.O. or Bank. 3. MIS in P.O. 4. Debt Funds from M.F.s 5. NSCs 6. PPF You need not worry about tax saving options because the non-taxable income limit is Rs 2,25,000/- Your 2nd Q is un-intelligent. Let your annual income increase far beyound Rs 2,25,000/-. You will pay tax @ 10 or 20%, but the rest 80 to 90% after tax is yours to enjoy. If you are asking about investments u/s 80C, then some of the options listed above are eligible.

How to talk to a senior girl when your a freshmen?
Q. I'm a freshmen. I sit next to a really pretty senior girl with one empty seat between us in one of my classes. I saw her a few times eyeing me, at least i thought she was. I'd like to talk to her but i dnt know how. Any tips?

A. Since you're a lot younger than her, the best thing to do is poke fun at her and flirt with her. Tease her about something. If she's pretty, poke gentle fun at her hair. Ask why it looks messy today. You're going to have to act confident. That's your only shot in this case. If you feel like it's not going to happen, just try to befriend her. Having a senior girl be your friend, will do wonders for you with the girls your own age.

How can senior management learn from other teams ?
Q. How can senior management of different business units interact more with each other's TEAMS that they don't routinely lead or meet ?? My company is trying to develop senior management in a way that they can be in touch with each other's teams and learn ideas from other processes that they can implement in their own teams. Every team has it's own strengths but also redundant wants of donig things. A fresh look at other teams can sometime trigger new ideas and efficiencies. Any ideas or fresh ways we can do this ??
Asked by minnnie_2007 - Fri Aug 28 13:05:34 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. When our company went through a phase like this an employee survey garnered a lot of good information. Also, special working groups that meet once a month can be very helpful. Some examples of ones I've worked on are: Marketing Committee, Diversity Committee and Mentoring Programs Also, if senior management is open to ideas, they can simply let employess know this and ask for feedback- directly.

A. See if you can get your hands on some yearbooks and you will see what the kids in your area are choosing. I've done senior pictures (years ago) - and the thing most kids want is to look acne free! The moms want them to smile and they didn't want to smile at all - (not cool) so you'll need some of each. Take more - you can't sell 'em if you don't take 'em! The pictures that were most popular were the ones I took with a piece of Suran wrap over my lens with Vaseline smeared around the outside to blur the edges. (Again, that was 25 years ago!) They thought it gave them a romantic glow! Experiment with photoshop or something similar to see what you can add that makes the photos fresh and "your" style.
