Q. I'm currently junior class president at my school and I am with out a doubt running for senior class president. Elections are in May and everyone want to run for Senior class Prez. I want to know when should I start planning my campaign and speech writing for senior class president and what creative things you think I could do to win this year. I wanna win because I care for my class and I want all of our years to be amazing!! Elections are in May of 2009

A. It is NEVER too soon! Get a good campaign manager, and start writing and planning who will work with you on your committee. Put lots of humor in your speech, and DON"T make it long. People HATE to sit through BORING speeches. Be genuinely nice to everyone and don't get the big head. That's really obnoxious to most people. Goo luck!

A. Go to to find the nearest SCORE chapter. In the upper left hand corner is a box to enter your zip code. Your nearest SCORE chapter will be on the next screen. Contact them to arrange for a free one on one meeting with a SCORE counselor about starting a senior companion business. SCORE is a nonprofit organization. They provide a public service by offering small business advice and training. SCORE's 10,500 volunteers have more than 600 business skills. What activities do male senior citizens want to participate in?
Q. I am working at a senior center (planning activities), it seems that females participate more than males in the activities (research also supports that). I am here trying to get some ideas from male senior citizens to improve their attendance and interest in the center. All activities considered.

A. I think women tend to be more social than men by nature. Men are conscious of their diminished capabilities and don t like to be in public. Women age more gracefully. Men like doing things like fishing, bowling, gardening or making things. Some like creative activities. The best thing to do would be to conduct a survey of things a man likes doing and put them on the survey as many as you can think of. Plus have on the survey a few open lines where the men can put what isn t listed.

What senior horse joint supplement do you recommend?
Q. I have been looking in to buying and using some joint supplements for my 2 senior horses in their 20s. In the SmartPackEquine magazine, they have SeniorFlex especiall for senior horses, but I am not sure if it is the right thing. I feed my horses Nutrena Senior feed, Lifestyles brand not the John Lyons brand. I heard that if there are certain minerals or vitamins in their feed, you shouldn't get a supplement that has one or all of those same vitamins as it can overload their system, is this true? Lately I have been hearing little cracks when the walk and they don't want to lift up their feet anymore because I think it is painful or something, but sometimes they do. Could someone tell me what I should do or use?

A. I strongly recommend Adequan IM - they've got arthritis, no doubt about that. X-rays would prove it. As of right now, there is no scientifically proven feed-through supplement that combats arthritis. When you buy joint supplements, you are buying on unquantified, empty claims. I hate spending my money on a hope and a prayer. Adequan IM, however, contains both hyaluronic acid (joint fluid) and an anti-inflammatory to help stop the immune reaction which exacerbates arthritis. It's also less invasive than direct joint injection (Legend), leaves no scar tissue in the joints, and does not expose the joints to infection the way Legend does. Adequan IM costs about $45 per horse per month, if you give it monthly, and if you yourself can… [cont.]

What if my senior at work tells me in front of others that he is not happy with my work. How should I react?
Q. I have had this told to me by a senior, although he didn't say it aloud. So I would like to know what's the best immediate response to such criticism. Thanks.
Asked by Richard - Wed Dec 26 19:17:48 2007 - - 6 Answers - 1 Comments

A. He asks this in front of others? Make sure you nicely say to him that you could meet with him in a conference room where there is more privacy to discuss your performance and leave it at that. If he continues to press, nicely rephrase what you just said and he should get the hint. It is not professional to berate you or make these type of critical comments in front of others. "Always praise in front of others and criticize in private" is the saying, I believe.

How do you put valedictorian or AP test scores taken senior year on a college application?
Q. Considering you take a senior AP/IB test your senior, and most colleges require you to apply in your junior year? Also, you don't really know if you're valedictorian until your senior year, so how do the colleges know?
Asked by Cole H - Tue Dec 8 19:59:35 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. They don't know. Colleges will get your AP scores for APs taken in the senior year after the results come out in July and if your school ranks (many don't), they will only know if you are valedictorian when they receive a final transcript after you've enrolled. If a college profile says they have so many valedictorians, they are basing this information on the current freshmen class from figures taken from final transcripts.

What is the difference between junior prom and senior prom?
Q. I know that most junior go to junior prom and most seniors go to senior prom and that girls usually wear shorter dresses for junior prom but that's all I really know. Please help! Thanks
Asked by Boochie - Fri Feb 20 23:01:24 2009 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments

A. for some schools the junior prom is like a mini senior prom the junior prom is for 11th graders and the senior prom is for 12th graders the junior prom is often not as nice as the senior prom the junior prom usually costs less, is not as nice, and not as fancy as a senior prom therefore the shorter dresses only juniors are allowed to buy junior prom tickets and only seniors are allowed to by senior prom tickets however they may bring a date that is not a junior or senior at my school we can bring a date that doesn't go to the school but they must be under the age of 20 some schools don't allow students to bring dates that do not go to their school and others allow them to bring dates over the age of 20

Q. I'm going to take my senior pictures soon. I really love stock car racing. How can I show my interest in this w/ my senior pictures? Also, what are some good ideas to use my car in my senior pictures?
Asked by gottalovekahne - Tue Jun 22 14:39:37 2010 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. You could try to incorporate a checkered flag in some of your portraits, or a racing helmet. As for your car, there are TONS of great poses you can do to include it - many seniors like to have a photo or two with their car - just talk to your photographer about it. I'm sure he/she would have some great ideas. A few popular ideas for having a car in your portraits: you sitting on the hood of your car, you standing leaning against the side of your car, you sitting in the driver's seat with the window or even door open.

My company is trying to develop senior management in a way that they can be in touch with each other's teams and learn ideas from other processes that they can implement in their own teams. Every team has it's own strengths but also redundant wants of donig things. A fresh look at other teams can sometime trigger new ideas and efficiencies. Any ideas or fresh ways we can do this ??

A. When our company went through a phase like this an employee survey garnered a lot of good information. Also, special working groups that meet once a month can be very helpful. Some examples of ones I've worked on are: Marketing Committee, Diversity Committee and Mentoring Programs Also, if senior management is open to ideas, they can simply let employess know this and ask for feedback- directly.
